Yes, a fish can die of over feeding because they can either eat too much or the large amount that the fish doesn't eat sinks to the bottom and starts to poison the water. You should feed a fish only the amount it can eat in 5 minutes about 2 times per day. This depends on the size and type of your fish. Hope this helps!!!!!

you should only feed your fish as much as it can eat in under 3 minutes. a fish does not know when to stop eating and their stomach can get too full and the (i know this sounds weird but it has happened to me before) fish's stomach can actually blow up

actually yes if u over feed it it will begin to swim on its back and i know this because my fish does that sometimes

Enough for them to eat within two minutes, any uneated stuff has to be netted out because it will pollute water.
