Not really, I am an American League guy. Would love to see the Red Sox sweep them again! Even seeing the Tigers beet them would have been better. I'm glade to see the Yanks and Mets go down though. If we could just get the Bruins and the Celtics to Win now! The Patriots are doing Great as always.

Yes, i'm happy with the fact that the St. Louis Cardinals won the the 2006 World Series...they deserved it and they have a good future ahead of them for many years to come.
Good luck to them next year in 2007.

They haven't won the series since 1982. Yes I'm glad they won. I love the underdog stories in sports. They backed in to the Series and came out the clear victor. Go Cardinals and repeat in 2007!!!

Yes, they had the best record in MLB in 2004 and 2005, but
couldn't win in those seasons. They struggled through this season to make the playoffs, and they won it all. It just shows that
perseverance paid off for them. They deserve it, and the fans of the other teams who lost to them, or who didn't even play them need to stop whining about it, and face the fact the Cardinals were the best team when it mattered the most.

Yes and no. Yes because David Eckstein showed people how the game should be played. In a series that was very sloppy if you check out his play in the field and the quality at-bats this guy had he was just great someone taught this kid the right way to play. Networks should focus on that kind of ballplayer a little more so that kids could learn from him instead of oversized first baseman (pujols) or overpaid centerfielders (beltran).
No because i wanted the mets to win.

Do not really care either way since I am not a fan of either the Cards or Tigers.
But....I would have loved to see them lose I guess if it meant that the arrogant Cards fans that were on these boards right after the game would be dissapointed. I would like to think that they are NOT an indicator of what the majority of Cards fans are like.

As a Tigers fan, no. I do give them my congratulations, but the reality is the better team lost. Errors killed the Tigers, not so much the Cardinals.

yes I'm happy for New Hampshire resident Chris Carpenter, he set the tone for the Cards to win after Rodgers had a great pitching performance.
