Yesterday my wife had our 4 months and 3 weeks young baby girl vaccinated with Rotarix RV vaccine ( for rotavirus ) and Prevnar PCV vaccine ( Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine ). My question is; Is it safe to have started the first dose of Rotarix at age 4 months and 3 weeks for my baby? The pedetrician did not ask my wife about the age of our baby when she was brought at the clinice for the vaccination. But upon checking the internet for information, I found that the starting age for the first dose for Rotarix is by 14 weeks.

The doctor doing the immunizing would know if the child is ready or able to receive the vaccine especially if he's your regular pediatrician ,,,, Pediatricians are subject to malpractice too you know ,,,, But keep in mind that anyone or any baby can be subject to allergic reactions ,,,, With young ones it is a hit or miss proposition because everyone has to go through the gauntlet of finding out what the individual is or is not allergic too ,,,, Close monitoring of the child is necessary during ALL these immunizations procedures regardless of what it is and the pediatrician contacted immediately and informed of any adverse effects ,,,, Calm down Poppa ,,,, needless worry can send a parent to an early grave ,,,, Physicians are trained and well versed in the does and don'ts of their profession ,,,,

Gee, ain't it grand you come on a public forum where anyone can claim to be anything, a doctor, a mother, or hey even God himself to give you advise on your child's health and well being but in fact they are simply a pimply faced teen who hasn't seen the light of day for a week since he keeps locked up in his room, on the computer pretending to have all these answers.
With a question involving the health of your child, call the doctor!!!

Even though the doctor did not ask your wife your baby's age, he/she would have record of the baby's age on her chart. I am sure all will be well.

your pediatritan should have already known the age of your daughter as she should have read her notes before giving her the vacination. hopefully everything is fine but if you are worrid about it ask your doctor.
good luck

I don't mean to worry you, but hopefully your baby should be safe. On rare occasion it does affect negative on new borns.
