Could I be pregnant?

Question

I was on the pill had having sex with my partner, 2 days after we last had intercourse I had to stopped taking the pill, this was half was through my packet.
2 days later I had a period that seemed normal but only lasted 3 days, I have not been back on the pill and have not had sex since but my period is a few days late, i did have period like pains several days ago but still no period.
Could i be pregnant even though I have had a period and stopped taking the pill after we have sex and have no had sex since?

It's probably very unlikely, but you're not going to have peace of mind until you do a test.

yes, you could be. Some women have periods all the way through pregnancy or have them just a little lighter. Although most pills work by building up the level of hormones in your system to make your body think you are pregnant and so it doesn't keep any eggs released by not taking the pill one day you'll have dropped the level in your system and made it possible for an egg to stick.

Also though if your halfway through a packet of pills then your unlikely to have a period straight away until your natural rhythm catches up and evens out, period are not a reliable sign for pregnancy it a lot of people.

Quick answer, it is possible although unlikely. Wait 12 days and take a test just in case (tests aren't accurate usually until after at least 2 weeks as there isn't enough there to register yet)

Since sperm can live in the reproductive tract for up to 72 hours, in theory you could.
That said, I highly doubt you are. After you stop taking the pill, your cycles get a little weird anyway, and if you do it in the middle of the pack, you basically took a hormonal soup, shook it up and did shooters! The pill creates an artificial hormone situation. When you stop taking the pill, your body has to regulate the hormones and it does it differently than the pill does (hence the shooters analogy).
Wait 2 more weeks and if you haven't gotten a period do a pregnancy test just to put your mind at ease.

you can still be late on your period even though taking the pill. some times the period only last 3 days which can be quite normal. but the best thing to do is take a test to be on the safe side..

goddess this is Pregnancy category so what do you expect?this was created to ask questions that confuses you...The experienced person could answer that question but they did not say that you have to answer it even you dont feel to answer it.
You could not be pregnant my dear, i had that same situation and i thought i was pregnant bec. i did stop my pill 3 days after we had the last intercourse but thanks im not even i had only my period for 3 days. its the pill that messed my period...soon it will come back to noramal...

it could be possible but the only way to knoe for sure is to take a test.
i have a relative who didnt know she was pregnant until she was 6 months gone as she was still having her periods as normal and it was only a hospital admission 4something else that detected the pregnancy.

The hormones in your pill have affected how your body works. I doubt you are pregnant but get a test done all the same.

The Uterine Endometrium (inner walls lets say) chances during your periods, The importance of endometrium is that the ovum can stick to it and form a new being. (So probably not. but to ensure take a test)
