I am not sure either super or superb ( English is my second language) but I heard the word super (superb) only once in UK. It was Christmas time, when the father of a English family had finally finished the decoration of the Christmas tree (which was put inside of their house ) by himself, he said "super!!" (or "superb")
with looking at the decarated tree. It was the first-time experience for me to hear the expression "super"
so sure the word is English.

Lots of words that mean the same thing as "super" in the English
language. i.e. Great, superb, terrific, fantastic, mighty, good. Probably heaps more if you consulted a thesaurus. Hope this helps!!
