I am assuming you are in the UK. Here they only do a caecarian if you or the baby are at risk if you have a normal delivery. You cannot choose which type of delivery you have as a C Section is costly and not performed if you and the baby are healthy. Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

Hi!
I too have had a ceasarean section, and I loved it! You knew the date the baby was being born, and you could organise everybody.
However, with my third baby I was refused a CS, much to my despair. This was through an NHS hospital.
Please don't be too scared about a normal delivery. Sure it hurts for a while, but as soon as the baby is born, all the pain subsides and is soon forgotten.
However, I'm sure that if you can afford to go private, you will be able to find a doctor who will perform a CS for you. Your GP would be able to point you in the right direction.
I wish you the very best of luck with your second pregnancy.

I would strongly advice you not to insist on a C-section if it is not absolutely necessary. C-sections should only be performed as last opion as there are seriouse complications associated with it for you and your baby-you just got lucky last time, but it can go horrible wrong especially in places like Srilanka where the chances of infection are rampid. They will not give you a C-section in the UK because you are scared of normal delivery as C-sections are only performed as last result to complications. Instead of having a C-section inform about other options like epidurals etc which are far less dramatic. In anycase you should really consider the health of your baby first and insiting on a C-section is not doing the latter-good luck

Being scared is normal - but you shouldn't opt for a c-section just because of that. If you go to Portland Street hospital (cost you £7k) you can have whatever you want in terms of labour and beyond. If you intend to go yo Sri Lanka, do it before week 31 or you wont be allowed to fly after that. You'll need a dr's note as well confirming you are fit to fly.Our bodies are designed for natural child birth, and I think some councelling may be more beneficial to you to regain your confidence, than running all the way to Sri Lanka to get the birth you want. Good luck.

It depends on the doctor. If you've had 2 c-sections most doctors will not give you a choice and prefer you have another.
But, since you've already had one your doctor may be much more likely to let you have another.
My first delivery was an emergency c-section. My second baby was breech and I had to have another. I was releived though because I would have preferred the c-section.

Natural delivery is much safer and the chance of uterine abruption is 1% or less. Natural birth is much safer for your child. Your doctor will inform you of his preferences as to the way you can deliver. Most insurance providers will not let you have a VBAC. Be strong. Your future baby deserves the best.

Hi,
When you become pregnant, youn will get an appointment with a hospital consultant to discuss the method of childbirth, i.e normal or c-section. I had my first by emergency c-section and had my 2nd 5 months ago again by emergency c-ection. When you see your consultant tell them that you want a c-section and that should be fine, given your history.

i live in the U.S so i dont know about there but here yes if you had the first c-section you can choose to have the secound one the same .. i would think they would give you that option pretty much anywhere ... since there is a very sight chance you may rupture across the old scar line when pushing... BUT i do think you should think about having the baby vaginally (completely natural up to you ... i take the epedural!) but i had my first c-section also and was terrifyed about having my secound vaginal... but i did and it was the most amazing thing ever and it really wasnt all that terrible.... (with ep!) and know i now i am capable of doing it (and very proud of myself i might add...lol)... so please think about it you will be soo glad you did. good luck and congrats on baby!!!!

yes hear in uk you can plan your birth method talk to your doctor and youre health visitor , but planning another child so soon your body will not have had time to recover from the first do you think this is wise they recomand at least a 2 year break between pregnacy . time to allow the muscles to return to some what normal
