in a purely physical sense, sex with another person and masturbation produce the same sensations. However in an overall sense, the feelings you derive from the intimacy and contact witht heother person do dramatically heighten the sensations. Although it helps if you are attracted to each other lest it lower the sensations.

If you're a virgin, don't worry about it. It's really oversensationalized in the media to sell magazines and movies, just having casual sex is pleasurable, yes, but I'd say now I wish I WOULD have waited.

if you just "have sex" it is short-term physical sensation
if you "make love" with another person you trust and respect it is deep physical and emotional sensation, combining love, touching, tenderness etc.
