Here is a site about antivirus comparisons. It will tell you which one is the best.

I am a clinical psychiatrist an I have a legal and moral obligation to protect my patients/refugees medical data.

I use for nine plus years "avast", an I never had one virus in my system. (You can only use one antivirus system, or you will have serious conflict with your system). You can use three or four anispyware with any conflicts.

http://www.avast.com This company is out of Prague and they will ask you for your email address so they can send you a free registration key that is good for one year. After one year you must request a new key.

Download their free home personal use. Their corporate version is the same, they just make corporate pay.

You will get automatic updates twice or three times daily. If you have your speakers on you will always hear a male voice say, "virus updates have been updated". This program has an excellent state of the art background scanner that run in realtime and will detect any virus/trojans that are embedded in any webpage that you may open. The scanner will pop-up and clean in real time, plus the male voice will tell you that a virus was just cleaned and destroyed in your system. (With the voice there is also a blue pop-up from the try for visual notice of core updates or a pop-up with virus detected.

If you download any program to save and run it first with "avast", it will scan the program for you to see if it is clean of any virus before you install the program.

In my own personal opinion "avast", is state of the art technology that is light years ahead of any other free or paid version available in the world.

Stay away from Nortons or McAfee, both are garbage and will eat up 100% of your resources. (Memory)
