If you suspect there is a gas leak ( some people can smell it but some also don't have a great smell sense) you should first open all the windows and back kitchen door first. If there are any fumes they will go out. Check all the cookers openers for each ring are closed. Leave the kitchen for a little bit- for your own safety too before going back. Use the washing up liquid technique - if there are bubbles, there is a gas leak. You need to get to the source of the problem and turn it off from the main. Have someone come in immediately to check it out. Meanwhile leave your windows open.. leave your oven open too but move your face away as you do or use a sweeping brush to open it so you don't get any fumes rush out to your face. If you have a dog or other pet they will be behaving strangely too as they sense danger.

YES!
Gas detection equipment is important for a number of reasons in a number of different environments. Gas detection or gas detector ranges are available to safeguard yourself and your property from the dangers of gas.
The term 'gas' derives from the word 'chaos', which sums up the main feature of gas in its simplest form. A gas is a swarm of particles moving randomly and chaotically, constantly colliding with each other and the barriers created by the walls of any container. This constant motion is best demonstrated by releasing a small amount of odorous coloured gas into a room. Within seconds the gas can be smelt in all parts of the room. These properties apply to substances, which are usually gaseous, and to vapours from evaporated liquids.
A volume of any gas at the same temperature and pressure contains the same number of molecules no matter what the gas is. This means that measuring gas by volume is very convenient. In higher levels, gas is measured as a percentage and in lower levels it is measured by parts per million (ppm). Our gas detection equipment is advanced and highly accurate. Gas detection or gas detector equipment will eradicate the risks posed by harmful gases.
Whilst different gases have different densities, they do not totally separate into layers according to their density. Heavy gases tend to sink and light gases tend to rise, but their constant motion means that there is continuous mixing, meaning that they do not behave like liquids. Our gas detection or gas detector systems can help to pinpoint exactly which gases are present and we are able to find the most effective mode of getting rid of the problem. As an example, in a room where there is a discharge of natural gas (methane), the gas will tend to rise because it is lighter than air but the constant motion means that there will be a considerable concentration at floor level. This will happen in perfectly still conditions but if there are any air currents, the mixing will be increased. Gas detection equipment can seek out the problem and eliminate the problems caused by all manner of different hazardous gases.
Gas detection or gas detector systems are cheap and safeguard you, your family and friends from all manner of hazardous gases. For peace of mind, enquire about gas detection equipment.

a lit candle will alert you to gas leakage in the kitchen. Usually this method works best if you have an in-law that can light the candle.
