because a dog will never judge you and loves you for you it doesnt care if you are rich or poor black or white male or female...they give unconditional love and all they ask for in life is to be loved and fed ...the old saying goes a dog has a master but a cat has slaves....you can tell a dog all your secrets and fears and he will listen and never judge you....or tell

A dog is a loyal and affectionate companion! My dog is like my shadow around the house and I know I would miss her terribly if anything should happen to her. My cat is very independent and we only see her when she wants feeding. The dog however, is very much part of the family!

People choose ogs as they are brilliant, they are loyal and loving. A dog is a nice companion that will always be there. Labradors are a great example of this. Better than a cat by far.

one would normally pick an animal such as a dog, for companionship, they loyalty the secrets that you can confide in and they will never tell anyone else. dogs are a great friend, but also more than that, and if you treat them right they will love you back. animals are great they are also great for protection as well. i love all animals, probably not too fond of snakes and spiders though, but i wouldnt intentionally kill one.

a dogs suposse to be a mans best friend a cat is soppose to be a womans as dogs act more masculine (depending on what sort you get) and a cat is more feminine. i wouldn't choose a pet as not really interesting in moping up pee.

I like all animals, but dogs are the best. You come home from work and they greet you, they don't moan at you, yes they want feeding, but whatever you give them is usually good enough, you don't have to do their washing or ironing. You bath them occassionally, you can talk to them and they don't answer back, they don't drink all your beer. Dogs, my best friends!

Because dogs are so loyal and affectionate, unlike cats who are very selfish & independent animals.
If I couldn't have a dog, I would choose a talking parrot, cause it's would be just so cool to have a talking parrot and you could teach it swear words.

im 13 and have 3 dogs i like them as they are fun they sleep on my bed and wake me up licking my face in the morning my mom says it is gross but they are my favorite animal

Because dogs r companions they help relieve tension after a hard days work.A dog would be my first choice.

they are loyal loving and do not ask for much they will follow their owner through the gates of hell if treat right
they are also one of the best form of socialising out side of pubs that you can have everyone talks to you when you are walking your dogs
