Hey dude! I got 95% in english and 96.4% in aggregrate in this simplest exam on earth (i.e. CBSE) being in11, I can tell you that the tenth class board exams are totally a fraud. I bumped my head for one long year struggling hard to score in huge amounts in the boards and at the end , even the mediocre students scored above 90%. It is easy to score till 95% above that, it is fate. Follow my advice and live ur life to the fullest b4 going in 11, coz then life will dictate its own terms.
Still if you are determined to score highly
1. Write simple english and also use 4-5 good words in the articles. Take care that u don't deliberately use these words but they are a part of ur active vocab.
2. Practice 1 article daily (though if you are good you don't need to, but in the long run it helps)
3.Grammar would be the easiest but don't be overconfident while attempting.
4.Learn a few quotes from each chapter
5.Adhere to the word limit.
6. Make ur answer paper as neat as possible
ALL THE BEST!

1. if u get above 80% in class 9 and 10, then u will get above 90% in ur board, if u keep studying in the same way
2. don't try to write very complicated words. use simple words that the examiner can understand
3. write ALL the points
4. ateempt sectons in this order to finish quickly: A, D, B, C
5. for section-a, remember that the answer is ALWAYS in the passage --- don't write fiction (even if it is a fact)
6. in section-, always write the correct format. wrong format = 0 marks. stick to the word limit. write in a godd style, keeping the grammar and spelling in mind.
7. in section -c , make sure u write all the answers. this can be the only section where u get a full 20. practice 4rm the workbook and refreshers
8. section-D: know all the points. don't write HUGE answers (2m=50 words, 4/5m=100words, 8m=150/200 words). write all the points
9. write in a legible handwriting. keep ur paper neat.
GOOD LUCK

even im in class X and everyone is worried about this only.
firstly, government school teachers usually check the papers and their english is not the best so dont use very high-fi words.
secondly make it a point to stick to the word limit otherwise marks can be easily deducted.
thirdly write to- the- point answers and dont give info that hasnt been asked.
im sure u will do well.best of luck!

# Make sure you know your texts well. Especially if u are doing a play, make sure you have the important quotes memorized with Act and Scene numbers.
# Do some reference work - try and research on the texts that you are studying - read some essays on the text etc - it helps you get a different perspective on the book/ poem/ essay/ play.
# Make sure you avoid silly grammatical errors and spelling mistakes.
# take some mock tests at home and time yourself.
# consult your teachers at school and ask them to rate your essays.
These are the basics - the rest depends on your ability to tackle the questions and your style of writing answers!
best of luck!!

english is an easy subject. you should do your literature lessons nicely, and remember do not use any sophisticated words in any of the sections of the paper. the language should be as simple as possible. the reading section is pretty easy just write the answers word to word from the given paragraphs.
