Okay, this is a very interesting pondering.
I would have to say it would be funnier for the magician's clothes to disappear. Unless, he had some disfiguring scar that made him appear hidious when naked. In that case, it wouldn't be funny, just really sad.
It would not be funny if I were in the audience, and my clothes disappeared. I would probably get a bit ticked off and want my money back, plus expenses, depending on what I had been wearing.
However, if I was good and liquored up, perhaps suddenly finding myself naked with other naked folks could make for an interesting evening. I might like that. But then the next day I would feel bad, so. . .not funny.

it would be funnier if the magicians clothes disappeared... because if ur in the audience you most likely dont want ur clothes disappearing, so it wouldnt be very funny to you.
