I don't know, but if you find out please tell me! The girly ones or "femme" or "lipstick" lesbians are always hard to pin out. You could just kind of look into her eyes and if she can hold a little bit of eye contact, then she may be into you. (don't stare too hard though, you could end up freakin her out)
If she looks away, don't take it the wrong way. She might be nervous. Her eyes may dilate a little too as that often happens in nature when attracted to a mate.

As far as other signals go: does she twirl her hair in your presence or cross her legs toward you?

Can't you just ask?

I am straight, and married, but when I was single I hung out at gay clubs a lot with some of my friends. I had women ask me all the time if they could buy me a drink, or if I would like to chat, or whatever. I would just tell them politely that I was a straight girl there with friends. I never had any problems, no one ever got offended, and I met some really nice people.

I mean, a lot of people will tell you they have a foolproof method for telling who is who, but I have never seen a "method" that works correctly 100% of the time. It just seems easier to me to ask.

I am straight but if I were in your seat I would go straight to the one I like and ask her if I can buy her a drink or something of that sort.

you can't tell, there are so many hidden ones as opens. So you wouldn't wanna miss the less noticed possibles..would you?
In my opininon initiating a talk about homosexuality and (if the reaction is affirmative) declaring your orientation would cause her to speak of herself...then things would come out
