Working the third shift can do that to you. I have been working 3rd shift for 5 years now and it seems every now and then I need a day worth of sleep to recharge and feel normal again. If this continues to happen on a daily basis, then I would be concerned and find a doctor. But if this happens only every now and then, I would be to worried about it.

Well it sounds like you work really late. It may seem like you sleep too much, but I don't think you do. I think the problem is that your normal sleep schedule is during the day when everyone else is awake, so you miss out on a lot of things. Some people need more sleep than others. Scientists have discovered that recommending 7-8 hours of sleep for everyone is not a good thing. Everyone's body is different.

What you should do is record how many hours of sleep you got on days when you slept and woke up ON YOUR OWN, and when you were woken up and felt rested. When you have a week or two's worth of these records, find the average of those nights. That is about the number of hours of sleep your body needs each night. The more nights that you average with, the more accurate this will be.

Its ok...give yourself a break...go on a vacation or something with your bf...I read about this kinda thing in Chicken Soup...I don't mean to scare you or anything but one guy had the same problem in that story and it turned out he had some sort of cancer or something! I really think you should see a doctor asap.
