I would have to say that Stephenie Meyers books, Twilight and New Moon are both really good. These are books about a "normal" girl who falls in love with a teenage vampire. There is a lot of discussion about the way that her friends react to this, and the way they treat her when she starts hanging out with a family of vampires. Also for more of a teen "classic" (and I use this term loosely), Are You There God, It's Me Margaret, by Judy Blume is a great read. I would also have to agree with the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul series. These short stories are about friendship, romance, family, and how popularity isn't always everything. I don't really know if this really falls into the teen category or not, but Prep by Curtis Sittingfield (think that's how it's spelled) is really good too. This is about a girl that basically sends herself off to a co-ed boarding school, and the things that she experiences there.

I love fantasy books. A good nonfantasy one though is "Feeling Sorry for Celia" by Jaclyn Moriarty.

My personal favourites though are: Twilight by Stephanie Meyers(is said to be the fantasy book for poeple who don't read fantasy), The Gene is Isis by Traci Harding, The Magician's Guild (followed by The Novice and The High Lord) by Trudi Canavan and anything by Tamora Pierce (as I noticed someone before me mentioned! :) )

The Clique books, for sure. I believe there are currently six, but Lissi Harrison is writing more. Other good ones I've read our "Friends, Enemies" and "Confessions of a Not It Girl". The Sistserhoof of the Traveling Pants books are good too.
