No this isn't a good reason at all to have a baby. Being 14 years old you or whomever is way too young to have a baby. Does this person plan on giving up their life and dreams for another human being for the next 18 years?
If the parents are ignoring the 14 year old what makes them think they will pay attention to another baby? Lets face it a 14 year old girl is still a baby herself.
If their parents are like that maybe she needs to talk to someone at school and see if someone can help her since she is being neglecting.
The girl shouldn't mess up her life with having a baby right now just because her parents are the way they are.
If this person is you, don't do it cause you have your whole life ahead of you

Hell no! Sorry to put it so bluntly, but that's the first thing that came to my mind. You're talking more problems. One is not gonna solve the other. All man...where can I start? First you can't take care of yourself and second neither can he. Family counciling is in order but I guess the parents don't even recognize that the girl has a problem.
That's the problem. If you're the girl then you'd bettter talk to someone else in the family, aunt, uncle, cousin, somebody! But don't get pregneant for attention. You're fighting a losing battle from the start. Geesh.
Now that I've calmed down a bit...Just talk to some one even your parents. Let them know what you were planning to do. That should jump start their hearts.
Just don't get pregnant.

No, it's not ok. Who is going to take care of the baby? The 14 year old is too young to get a job, and if the parents aren't paying attention to their daughter they aren't going to pay very much attention to their daughter's daughter. Getting pregnant won't help anyone, especially the baby who will be born into a difficult childhood, to a girl who herself is still a child.

Take whatever problems you have now
Double them
Double them again
And double them a third time
This is what you're talking about doing.
Take our advice! This is a seriously bad idea. Go break your front window or take a bat to your dads car. This is a MUCH BETTER (albeit still very bad) idea that will get their attention.
Try getting straight A's
Do the dishes when the don't ask you to
Vaccum the house.
This will get their attention. Don't hurt yourself that way.

by the way u worded your question, seems like the girl wants to get pregnant to gain attention from the parents.
answer is no it's not ok...if that's the reason to bringing a child into this world..it's selfish of the girl to do that. most likely, the girl and the bf won't be able to provide for the baby.

thats the stupidest thing I have ever read. Go start a fire or kill someone, that will get thier attention. Getting pregnant just because you dont get attention is really, really stupid.
Get over it, your parents cant spend all thier time around you like they used to. Get some friends to hang out with or something.

Although & hopefully, all the answers to this question would be a definete no, for decades, young teens have been getting pregnant due to no parental involvement with there children. It is so extremely sadneing. Why do we bring children into this world if we cannot give them our time unconditionally? We can give our friends, co-workers, our bosses, our employees, & pets more of our time, but our children------- well ?

Absolutely not! This is a life, a person, a baby, that the girl would be USING just for attention. Never, ever, ever get pregnant for any other reason than truly wanting a baby, and knowing that you are emotionally, financially, and physically ready for it. Trust me - babies are hard!

No. A baby needs an adult mother to care for it, not some revenge seeking child. Don't punish an inniocent baby just because things arent going great for you. Talk to your counselor at school and tell her what youre thinking of doing. Trust me, you will get attention.
One thing to consider...if you have a baby dont expect to have any fun for the next 18 years. Youll be too busy working and taking care of your offspring.

I waited to have babies until after I was 30 years old. Having a baby at 14 does nobody any good!! Not you, not the baby, not the father, not your parents!!!!! Please, don't do it for attention. You may risk getting all negative attention!!!! You are young, you have your whole life ahead of you!!! Wait until you have something to offer a child.
