go to all your classes

do as much of the required reading as possible

get help with papers at the local reading/writing center

focus on the assigned work - do spare reading and extra reading in the summer.

take good notes in class

do the work it takes to get the grade and no more . . .

I can't say I had (or have) the best time management skills, but I managed to do pretty well with my double major (except for one semester where I burnt out in the second week and got a 2.5 GPA, my worst in college). I suppose the key to my success was choosing subjects that I was both good at and generally liked (generally... there were some courses in there that were just chores while there were some that were a lot of fun). That made it easier for me to get into the habit of going to class and doing my work in a timely manner, particularly once I got into the advanced courses which had a much more laid back atmosphere. I ended up with a 3.33 cumulative GPA with four semesters on the Dean's List. And I'm now in grad school. So, I did okay.

my sister has. she is doing Biology with Business. her secret is simple: study, attend classes, spend the required time studying, knowing when to have fun, sacrificing things such as concerts over a class, not staying until the early hours to cram but rather to gradually understand and outline the material-notes- in a Review Sheet as the notes as being wriiten and the chapters learned. she knows that she can watch a DVD or so but first she needs to have her homework done, her lessons up to date and her understanding of the material good. she puts her cell on silent so that she does not have any distractions, she limits her conversations of the phone as well as the computer use to surf the web for better things such as outlming chapters.

i'm a double major with a 3.7 GPA. The only advice is to work hard and know how to balance school work and social life. I do party a lot too.
