1889-1945 Adolf Hitler---- was born in Austria in 1889 and was a failed art student in his youth. After World War I, he got into politics and led the fascist Nazi party. In 1933, he became dictator of Germany and started a cruel, tyrannical government that tried to take over Europe. Germany invaded Poland in 1939, starting World War II. Hitler believed that Germans were better than anyone else, especially Jews. Over the course of the war, he ordered six million Jews to be killed --- this is called the Holocaust. These actions had a big influence on 20th-century history, so Hitler is well known, even though he did many terrible things.

Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889 – April 30, 1945) was Chancellor of Germany from 1933, and "Führer" (leader) of Germany from 1934 until his death.
Hitler's racial policies had culminated in a genocide of eleven million people, including about six million Jews, and the systematic killings of many other groups and nationalities, in what is now known as the Holocaust.

adolf hitler, was a man that grew up with and abusive father and an overly doting mother, they were very poor and the father eventually left,he went to catholic school and wanted to be and artist, eventually in his teens he renounced his religioun, applied to the most prestigious art college in vienna and was admitted but told his paintings sucked, well in school he met another slightly older student (i forgot his name)who was fiercly anti-semetic,at this time germany was deep in a depression after world war 1,eventually he joined the military and after doing his service he started his political push for the fatherland starting with the beerhall pusch, where he was promptly arrested for being a radical and burning down the reichstad (the german parliament building),also at this time communism was sweeping the world, thats another story but it is related.anway after spending 5 yrs in jaul where he wrote his book mein kampf (my struggle) he was released and immediately began his campaign to take over the german govt.this time a little wiser he did it the right way, politically and within a few short yrs his nazi party held 95% of the seats in the reichstad,at this point he did use his power to place key figures in the military whereby he took over the german govt. by force, not long after that he walked into poland (aided by stalin)the belgium, france yada yada the rest is history,he was a strange and evil man fueled by his incredible ego, eventually even his own military and once ardent supporters tried to kill him...5 times. anyway theres just so much more, this doesnt even begin to explain hitler, and the history of that war and what it really was all about.

A megolomaniac whose overbearing father and over protective mother made him one of the evilest butchers of all time.... His messianistic message brought the germans out of the Depression and the shackles of the Versailles Treaty, only to be plunged into the darkness of total world war.
