Lots of things it could be, for example it could be twisted. You know your testicles hang there "by a thread", sorry don't know the correct biological term, but sometimes they can get twisted, like in twisted wire. That can cause pain. Unless you have lumps I wouldn't worry about cancer but anytime you have pain near your reproductive organs I would go to the doctor. It could be an infection as well. Lots of possibilities. Just go to the Dr to be safe. You don't want to wait and be told sorry, you can't have kids! Or even worse, we will have to cut it off! Scare you yet? Now get to the Doctor! :D

it could be cancer, torsion of the testicles, an inguinal hernia or even the result of unknowingly hitting it while asleep. If it persists for more than a couple days it would be wise to have yoru doctor take a look. Also, you should get regular checkups that include a thorough examination of your genitals. That way the doctor can hopefully catch problems before they get too serious. Yes, I know it is embarassing but it's probably better to get checked out and get an early diagnosis when a problem is easily treated than to have major surgery down there. Oh, and if your doctor isn;t comfortable doign the thorough exam, it might be time to find another doctor.

Probably not, but seeing your regular doctor would be wise. However, there is a slight possibility, because sometimes pain can come before bumps or swelling. Testicular cancer is very rare with less than 10,000 cases per year in the US, but it could be something else that needs treatment, such as an infection.
