buy Crayola Window Writers markers.

much easier, better color (and comes off without suds)

You are much better off going to an auto parts store, and asking for a colored window marker. They probably will have them, and they WON'T hurt the paint (the finish) on the car; as they will just wash off harmlessly with soap and water. If you use food dye, you could hurt the paint job and finish, so i wouldn't do that!
