Many people think they are similar to the Amish, but they are more worldly in some ways although much less so that mainstream Americans. Most live agricultural, pastoral lives, engaging in farming, craftsmanship, food production, and the like. They are very family and community oriented, favor peace and collaboration, and are unashamed to live their less-materially-preoccupied lives differently from mainstream society.
