Well, the Sunday night game is THE game now. HTey actually get to pick which games they want to show. Now the games theyve shown thusfar havent been that great, but thats because the teams involved havent put on much of a show. But, Sunday Night has become the Showcase game of the week, like Monday Night Football was on ABC. They get to sit and wait and cherry pick which game they want to broadcast on Sunday..like, the game in 2 weeks between the Giants And Bears was supposed to be on sunday at 1pm on FOX... but seeing that the Giants could conceivably be 6-2 and the winners of 5 in a row and the Bears could be 8-0 the game could be a battle of the titans in NFC and a preview of the NFC Title game.. So, NBC snatched the game from FOX for that weeks sunday night game. Its very different thinking of Sunday Night Football and no more MNF..but youll get use to it in time.

I don't even watch Monday Night Football anymore. Sunday night is my Monday night. I love Madden and Michaels (but not the woman on the sidelines, who has too much makeup on her eyes and looks so totally unnatural that you can't pay attention to what she says), but the guys on Monday are boring. The games don't have the same energy without good people calling the game. I don't understand why ESPN didn't take Madden and Michaels and the whole ABC crew with them when they moved. What about those people who don't have cable or sattelite. They can't get Monday night's game at all unless their local team is playing and it is simulcast on a local channel.
The whole thing is totally disappointing to those of us who are football fanatics like me.

Kimtastic, a few post above mine, has it 100% correct. They changed the schedule to make the Sunday night game the real primtime game instead of MNF......I actually really like the new "flex" scheduling now that will allow them to change the Sunday night game depending on the teams playing. Its actually a good idea.......I would agree though, MNF is not the same. Im sure it will take this whole season for me to get used to it.

ESPN has been pretty lucky so far though because all the games so far have been very good. I use could turn off a MNF game by the 2nd half. Im not enjoy the sunday night production on NBC every much. the games have been bad, (not NBCs fault) but not as bad the commentary (NBCs fault)

yeah ... i miss the old MNF. I'm a child of the 70s and 80s. I grew up on MNF. And, no ... it's just not the same on ESPN.
The hype sucks, and the media frenzy is just humorous anymore.
Just 'sign-on' and let the guys play the game. And, unless you can keep yourself from looking and sounding like a complete moron-announcer ....
JUST WATCH THE GAME WITH THE REST OF US!

I don't like the player introductions. I liked the individual intro's better.
