I had a c-section almost 4 months ago and I have a few questions. First, will I ever get all the feeling back on my belly? Second, what exercises can I do to get rid of the (dare I say it?) Fat roll over my scar? It looks AWFUL!!! It literally hangs over my scar!!! I was never SMALL but I have this pooch and i would just like to be normal again!

I had 2 c-sections. Yes, you'll get the feeling back. Can't remember how long it took me, but it did return to normal.

As for the "fat roll," you may (sorry to say this!) actually never return to the exact way you were pre-c-section. "Crunches" (sit-ups) will help to some extent.

I was fine after my first c-section and also returned pretty much to normal after the second (I wasn't ever exactly small, either). But as age began creeping up on me, the pooch kind of returned and now it's there to stay.

Don't get discouraged, though. Just be patient with yourself/your body and do the best you can.

But just think, you have a baby and wasn't it all worth it? Not sure how old you are, but I had my 2 kids relatively "late in life" and wouldn't trade the experience of parenthood for anything, even 'tho my body isn't ever going to look the way it was pre-babies.

My last c-section was 8 years ago. You'll never fully regain all the feeling directly on and around the scar.

As for the fat over the scar- C-sections are different than a regular delivery. They cut through your muscle, which scars as well so it is close to impossible to get rid of all of it.
And the skin is another story- even if you lose the fat the extra skin will be there which can only be removed with surgery.

It is MUCH less complicated. I have had four c-sections. The first 2, I did hard work for a few hours after which had the c-sections. Recovery for those took plenty longer than the following 2. They had been deliberate c-sections and I used to be up and relocating inside hours of surgical procedure and felt beautiful typical with per week. And I used to be simplest short of soreness killers for two days. That sounded extra just like the recuperation time of a vaginal supply to me. So, sure...it's MUCH less complicated.

I had two c-sections and I have most of my feeling back after 10 months. It is hard, but I have been going to the gym to work off the pooch. It is slow going, but it is starting to slim down a bit. My mom had one with my brother and I and she still has a pooch. I guess you could call it a "badge of honor." ;) Reverse crunches help. Lay on your back and lift your legs using your stomach muscles. Good luck!!!

Did you have a vertical or horizontal? I had the vertical and I have the felling almost all the way back. However, it cuts the muscles more completely and I have no strength there. Therefore I have never been able to lose the "pooch". If you had the horizontal you will be fine and be able to lose the roll. I have seen it w/ my friends.

I"ve had 3 c-sections and after the first one I was ok but by the 3rd I do have quite a roll too. I have tried pilates and aerobics and it helped a little. I did get the feeling back took a while though

I have had two c-sections, one was 13 yrs ago, one 3 yrs ago. I have feeling back in my tummy, but it is very difficult to get rid of the pooch. You have to do a lot of work to get rid of it. When they perform the surgery, they cut your skin, fat, stomach muscles and the wall of the uterus. for all of that tissue to reconnect and grow back it takes a lot of work and time. I would recommend Pilate's, and a lot of cardio and ab work outs.

I had a c sect almost 11 years ago with my son. My tummy is still somewhat numb where it was cut. As for exercises...when you are well healed and your doctor says it is fine, you can do abdominal exercises such as crunches to tighten up those muscles. Keep in mind though, a c sect is major surgery, give your body time to go back to normal. Good Luck!

Running can help you, but first you need to ask your doctor.
Don't eat junk food. Try to eat as much healthy you can and drink hot water with your meals. The water helps to reduce that fatness in your body faster...
And to star walk at least one hour before you star running it help your cardio.
I did all this after my C –section and I don’t have any pooch.
