Yes he is responsible. Most of them have numbers on the back trailers that you can call.

Never chase after. It is considered a comp (comprehensive claim) loss to your insurance. Putting a claim in will not effect your premium, because it is a no fault claim. You do have to pay a deductible if you have one on the comprehension coverage of your vehicle. Even if you knew the driver or owner of the vehicle, it wasn't their fault the rock went a flying,is what they'll say. If you only have a bulleye-most insurance companies will waive your deductible and have the hole filled in with this new filler out now.GL!

No they are not unless the rock came from their truck {like a work truck, or dump truck} not just kicked it up from the road. Your insurance would need to cover it but you will have to pay the deductable which in some cases is more than the replacement fee.

Yes, he can be responsible for it, but the liklihood that you will chase him down and find him, is slim. Just get good insurance and you wont have to worry too much.

Hes not gonna stop and you have to prove it ,get the crack fixed and write it off as bad luck
