Very Important
1. It should support the fastest processor available.
2. Great Front Side Bus Speed.
3. Support up to at least 2GB RAM (DDR)
4. Available best chipset included.
5. AGP 4.0 Slot (for the VGA card)
6. most importantly it should not have onboard video or sound.
I don't know about price. I am from Sri Lanka

Check out custom gaming computers, like the Alienware Aurora,.

Look at PCMag.com they do great product evaluations. Likewise at PCWorld and at TechRepublic.com

No way, if you want an SLI board you might spend up to $250, but you should never spend more than that.
