No, I do not believe that is true..
I believe that racists are often poorly educated & ignorant but not necessarily of low IQ....

Well, first off, I'm not entirely sure that that's true.

But in the US racism - really fierce racism, rather than the run of the mill stuff about being uncomfortable with people from other groups or having stereotypes of other groups - usually comes from people who have disadvantaged economic backgrounds and who feel that other groups are impinging on their ability to move up in the world. I mean, do you think that America's super-wealthy would shut their door on Oprah Winfrey? Since IQ tests are biased towards the kinds of intelligence that are developed by middle-class and wealthy people, I'd imagine that the coincidence of low IQs and racism is a dual effect of economic disadvantage.

They don't really understand themselves or have a stable notion of what it means to be human. Their weak mind places too high a value on superficial traits and creates a false sense of identity from these traits. Having created a sense of self that is extremely erroneous, fear of all things that may threaten this self starts to consume them. People different from what they feel comfortable with become the subject of their fear.

To an intelligent person on the other hand ignorance is not something to be feared but a chance for discovery. So when they encounter someone they don't know it is seen as opportunity to expand their understanding. Soon we come to realize that at the core we are the same.

I guess it is because smart people are SMART enough to know that racism is a downfall and will hold the human race back.
The smarter a person, the less they see others as a color or race different than their own.
There is no such thing as a pure race anymore. We are all mixed with something. I am and I am proud of my heritage.

Everyone is racist to some degree. The smarter people tend to hide it better.

That's really true, isn't it. Because they are uneducated and unworldly. They are unfamiliar with the ways of the world. They just don't know any better. They've probably heard these racist comments etc from their parents and families all their lives, so that's all they know.

People with low IQ's are usually ignorant.
People are usually afraid of what they don't know or understand.
People usually hate what they are afraid of, to avoid "looking weak".

Racism doesn't lead to low IQ's.
Low IQ's, or more accuratley fear and ignorance lead to racism.
