Put fresh ground coffee in a bowl inside the microwave (after it has been cleaned). Empty the bowl every day and add fresh coffee. This may take several days. A slight coffee odor may remain, but will disappear after washing again with baking soda solution. I have tried this in our deep freezer. It was full of food and some how it got unplugged. We didn't know if for quite a long time and it was really bad. The coffee worked for us. As for the smell in the apartment I have boiled vinegar on the stove and then just let it set for a little while. You can also put small containers of vinegar in different places around the apartment for a few days. Spray Febreeze on the carpet, furniture, curtains etc.

Wash out the micro wave with a baking soda and water solution and let it set a while. then rinse. A plain house hold candle does take odor out while it is burning. Try a carpet powder that has baking soda in it on the carpet or if no carpet behind chairs under cushions. Maybe just plain baking soda sprinkled around the house. Try that. YOu may need to get a professional cleaning person , the kind that clean up after a house fire. Try the baking soda first.

Try Febreze Air Effects. It works great to remove odors. Inside the microwave, boil lemons in a bowl of water for 5 minutes, wipe clean & that should work. If not, make a paste with Arm & Hammer baking soda on a dishrag & wipe inside the microwave.

it is on your air vents. this might clarify why it appears that evidently better down the corridor (the place there is way less possibly to be a return air vent) and why it is greater great at evening (assuming your warmth kicks on via fact the temperature drops outdoors). you are able to attempt beginning all of the vents and working the fundamental fan to make certain in case you are able to blow out the previous food odors, or you would be able to attempt cleansing the vents as a procedures back as you are able to attain. once you cook dinner, food debris and oil debris replace into airborn in steam, and go into the return air vents to pass for the period of the air ducts. it is possibly greasy and gunky in there, and all of the air that blows over it ideas up a number of that previous food oil smell. The greater of which you will sparkling out with Windex the greater energizing your place will smell. The burning smell is possibly dirt on some element of the furnace that gets warm once you first turn on the warmth. I had the comparable factor take place in a house. If I cooked some thing with a different smell, i might smell it as strongly as though it have been in basic terms cooking in basic terms interior the path of the 2d evening once I cooked it, yet in basic terms in one room. It used to scare me via fact i presumed somebody had come into the homestead and replaced into heating up leftovers, lol. It replaced into that solid. And in basic terms in that one room, a mattress room, a procedures from the kitchen.
