home pregnancy tests arent always accurate. I took 2 and they were very faint so i went to my doc to get a better test and they eventually drew some blood to find the HCG levels in my blood which is way more accurate then any urine test. so my advice is if your that paranoid that your pregnant or have "cancer" , then i would go to a doc and get an exam taken and also ask about a preg test

The hormones in sexual fluids are not what the test is looking for. It's looking for Human growth hormone. If you got a light positive, you are pregnant. The results they talk about being wrong are falst negatives because someone took a test too early, not false positives.
Take another test, and take it first thing in the morning. That is when the concentration of the hormone will be the highest, and you'll get the clearest postive if you are in the early stages of pregnancy.
I hope you get the outcome you are hoping for, whichever answer you are hoping for.

If an egg was fertilized, implantation (when the embryo implants to the lining of your uterus) happens, on average, about 7 days past ovulation. It can happen as early as five days past ovulation or as late as twelve days past ovulation.

Early signs of Pregnancy:

Nausea/vomiting
Headache
Food cravings
Heightened sense of smell
Missed period
Backache
Crampy
Extreme fatigue
Tender/swollen breasts
Frequent trips to the bathroom

These signs can appear as soon as implantation or anytime after, each woman is different! Some women have all of these, some have a few and some women don't have any signs.
Good Luck!

when you had this faint positive, was it the day after you took the test? you can get faint lines and i think they're called "evaporation lines" or something like that. it doesn't necessarily mean you're pregnant. if you got the faint positive within a short period after taking the test, you're pregnant, otherwise i'd wait a couple more days & try testing again. remember, the highest concentration of HCG is in the your first morning urine. try testing then. good luck

Even a light positive is a positive. You'd have to have an extremely rare type of tumor which secrets the human hormone HCG to get a false positive. Sounds like you're pregnant. Ever heard of condoms?

Aww its not cancer ... so sad you think that. you're pregnant congradulations. Get to a doctor and discuss your option and prenatal healthcare if thats what you choose to go through. You did not get pregnant the day before your period.. it was probably 16-13 days before your expected period.. so if your period was due on the 30th you prolly go preggo 14-17th

Go get a pregnancy test that has the words PREGNANT, NOT PREGNANT and take it again. I hate tests with lines. They are so deceiving.

You could actually be pregnant. You might be one of the lucky ones that ovulates right before you start your period.

Go get a test.

The only thing that makes a pregnancy test positive is the pregnancy hormone. Go get a blood test at you Dr. or health clinic and be sure.

If you had unprotected sex two days before your period and it never started...you are probably pregnant. Right before your period is when you are most fertile!
