For example, do you get paid by how many times someone visits your site, or is it the advertisements, or what?

If you have been on myspace you would notice that everywhere there is advertisements. From other websites up to Movies coming out, to click here to win STUPID free prizes. How are you going to start out your company? Craigslist.com is kind of the same way, it is free to post, free to search but somehow recently someone was wanting to buy it from the creator. He turned down millios I think..

I think it's advertisements. I actually seen a commercial for a movie that refered the viewers to go to myspace to see the trailer. At that point, I concured that myspace has either officially taken over the world or become greater than it's creator.

there are ads that run on myspace as you log in i belive doing a search from myspace might also generate money
