it's the new format. after you create a question yahoo answers automatically directs it to a category according to the words that you use in your question. you can override the system, though

the format really is confusing but we'll get used to it...
its kinda nice though coz once u ask a q, yahoo will detemine instanly what sec it shld go.

It's the new foremat. It auto-suggests your category for you. But you don't have to keep it there. Just browse your own. Works for me.
