Yes, it can be done. It can be done through your browser history, and your Internet Temp files.
If someone has a key logger installed on your computer, they can look at that too.

I don't know if later versions of MS 'Explorers' (post IE6) have a file called 'indexdat', but that cache keeps a permanent record of all the websites you visit.... and it _can not_ be cleared by using the usual 'delete temporary internet files' facility. Why would Microsoft want to incorporate a secret cache in which all one's surfing activities are, in effect, 'logged'? Creepy eh?

Yes. All the URLs which you visited will be kept in address bar below the toolbar of your browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, goto Tools-> Internet options under General->Clear history. This will clear all the URLs you visited

yes, absolutely, but you have to define who"people" are/is.

Your ISP can see everything you visit, and all activities
are logged.

If you view webpages from work, your employer
can see all web pages you visit.

On the local machine, the history folder contains
all web pages you visit.

The IE cache contains many webpages remants
of your visits.

I think so. Anything that you can see on the computer can be seen by anyone else(supposing they were a good enough hacker.) But what would be the likely hood of that happening? And why would anyone want to see what you saw?
