It’s my first time going to Las Vegas. Which hotel would you recommend me?
And Why?

It really depends on a number of things like your budget, the type of atmosphere you prefer and who you're going with. My suggestion is to definitely stay on the strip. Everything is more accessible. If there's something you absolutely have to see off the strip, just take the bus or taxi. If you're looking for a nice place to stay, and traveling without kids, I'd go with New York New York, Treasure Island, MGM Grand, Aladdin, or Paris. All of these hotels are fabulous, at a moderate price. New York New York is a little noisy if you're planning on going to bed early because of the roller coaster, it also has Coyote Ugly, some cute shops and an awesome pub. Aladdin has the indoor mall. Treasure Island has a really cute bar/restaurant called Kahunas. MGM has the Rainforest Cafe, Emeril's and Studio 54. If you're traveling with kids, I'd go with Excalibur or Circus Circus. What I would suggest is go to some of their homepages and see which would best meet your needs.

With so little information given it's tough to advise you but I'd definitely stay somewhere in the center of the strip - around Flamingo Road. From there let price be your guide unless you have specific needs or limitations. Most of the newest hotels are huge and it's quite a long walk from the elevator to the street. Bally's is an easy in or out, even when dropping off a car and affords you the ability to walk to many of the hotels. Here's a map of the strip complete with the list of hotels and 360 degree photos you can play with....

i always recommend off strip hotels such as the orleans or the rio i usually pick the orleans since it has a variety of things to do with the family such as bowling and a movie theater and you can also gamble, it is usually cheaper then the on strip hotels also but if you are a hot girl looking for a good time and to get noticed then you should try the palms it has some of the hottest night life in vegas and a really nice pool

Las Vegas, often referred to as Sin City
But a far departure from Sodom and Gommorah
Las Vegas is like Conrad Twitty
And a lot like that place in Florida
Las Vegas, when we get down to the nitty gritty
Has developed a very special formula
People come here for more than the titty
So there’s really no need to warn your ma

In Las Vegas, there’s a lot that’s really pretty
We’ve much more than what’s stuffed in a bra
So, now I want you to take this ditty
And give it to both your ma and pa
Vegas, a place where you may win if you outbid me
Or if you’re a member of Sha Na Na

Obviously this depends largely on your price range.
If you can afford an over the top establishment on the Strip, try the Bellagio. If you don't stay there, at least check it out while you're in town...it's most renown for the amazing fountains set to music that you can view from the street for free.
There are several good websites devoted to L.V. such as:

This site (and others) have very comprehensive listings of hotel rates and availabilities.

Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for giving us such a detailed question so that we can answer!

With no restrictions, I say either a suite at the Bellagio... or perhaps the Howard Johnson by the airport.

EDIT: to the poster below (rickjfico) - fine if you post your crap here, but don't email me with it.

I would say any place on the strip. It will cost more than off strip but definetly worth it.
