Yeah, dems are liberals making big government...(funny, could it get any bigger?)

Yeah, repubs are patriots saving our nation...(war SUCKS...wait, they can't read this, can they?)

Regardless of the political affiliation, doesn't the modern age of info allow us to really see what a politician is about? ARen't WE "big brother" and not the other way around?

So, will you vote purely on party lines? Why or why not?

I usually vote, but I never vote my party because it is never on the ballot. So, working with what I consider to be 2 subsidiaries of one evil party, I will tend to vote more toward the lesser of the evil, be it a person, an initiative, a proposition or whatever.

More often than not, that will be in favor of the democrats - at least I'm sure that is how it would be seen by most. But, I am so fed up with so much bovine fecal matter that has been going on in politics these days, that actually when I vote, I am usually voting against the one I did not vote for. Like in this upcomming election, I am not at all happy with the incumbent Governor of this State. But, although he's a Democrat and I also do not agree with the values of his Republican opponent, I am planning on voting for the GOP, who's politics I also disagree with, but do not hurt me as personally as the one I'm voting against's politics already have negatively touched our lives.

Hope I answered in a way that made sense. It is a truthful answer.

I didn't when I lived in NY, which favors dems, but republicans can do well also there.

Now I live in Utah, and because it is so heavily republican (it's a major miracle if a dem wins a big post such as governor or US Senate seat), I do vote down the sheet in the donkey lane.

One party rule sucks. Nothing ever gets done, so I do my part to try to get a little diversity in the government.

Hopefully that makes sense...because I really do like to study the people and know what they are about.

For a presidential race, I would consider voting for any party.

If Powell ran, I would vote for him regardless of party.

I am very fortunate. I don't have any party lines. I vote for the person and if I do not know who he or she is and what is their background I won't vote. No vote is better than voting for the wrong person. Have you seen the AARP ads on TV? Don't vote!
Know who you are voting for. I never listen to the crap about what the person did 20 or 30 years ago. I want to know what they did just a few years ago and if in Congress, then how did they vote.

If I were to vote my party no matter what I wouldn't have voted for Bush in '04.
And you are right the big brother thing goes both ways.
I'm voting repub again and so are a couple of my friends who usually tend toward the demos. We are tired of the people who put the well being of terrorists before our own survival.

No, I vote for the person that's gonna do me the most good (or the least harm) while they are in office. So Race, Gender, or Party Lines don't matter.

I would vote for the better guy; who usually is on my party. So, I'd vote for my party about 90% of the time.

I will not vote. Period. From the years 1990 to 2002 I voted about 98% for Republicans. But I won't vote ever again.

Party lines -- what's really important is which party controls the committees.
