You should buy a Beckett's price guide from a local baseball card shop.

A Ty Cobb baseball card ought to be properly worth everywhere from a nickel (a renowned-day card) or better than $10,000 (a 1908 E102 rookie card). So i assume the beginning cost could be 5 cents.

The bottom has dropped out of the trading card business as it does every now and then. Now is not a good time to sell any cards. It will pick up again and when it does your card will be worth a lot more. How ever if it is mint find a serious collector and you may get a price.

Be careful when geting your card apraised. I have several cards that i know for a fact to be worth at least a couple thousand dollars a piece. Out of curiousity I sent photo's and decriptions of the cards to several differant apraisers, one person wrote back and told me i would be lucky to get $50.00 all the others tried to tell me simular stories with the top aprasel being $150.00 for all the cards. However they all kept making offers to buy my cards even after i told them i wasnt interested in selling them. Do yourself a favor and buy a baseball Becket so you can get an idea of the value of your card before contacting anyone about an apraisel
