It is either a yeast infection or non fertile cervical mucous. Fertile cervical mucous is abundant and very watery, or like raw egg whites.

If its smelly like old meat or itchy, its probably a yeast infection. otherwise, like the above posters said.. your discharges change throughout your monthly cycles.. it could mean your going to start your period in the next few days.. It gets thicker and stickier the few days your fertile and can conceive. (natures way of making sure those little sperm suckers stick) haha!

it will not go away by itself

it is also a very common sign of pregnancy when you slide it around your fingers and it feels like lotion and theres no smell and you dont itch then it can be considered a sign of pregnancy good luck
