I was about ten or eleven years old when I saw the original "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" for the first time. It was on TV one Saturday afternoon and I watched it with my mother. It really scared me then. The thought of these zombie-like pod creatures that replaced their hosts really creeped me out.

I've watched the movie since then, and it holds up pretty well, but now I can see that it contained a large dose of Cold War fear of Communism.

I'm sure that there are more gruesome movies that some would consider scarier, but I generally don't go to them.

The Last Horror Film. Buy it on VHS if you can. It only "works" on VHS. Rent it, or buy it. You'll see what I mean!

My FAVORITE horror movie of all time is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, followed by SAW.
