My son just turned 2 yesterday and has no interest in using a fork or spoon to eat yet, but in doing this unless I take his shirt right off him, not always an option, he gets whatever food he is eating on himself. He has stained things the first time he has worn them. Also how would I go about removing unknown stains from clothing? Either I don't know what caused the stain or I just can't remember anymore. I normally bleach whites when they need it, I use spray and wash as needed in combination with arm and hammer soap and I prefer snuggle fabric softener with any of my laundry.

drop the spray and wash. get shout. rub it on. let it dry in completely. that always gets my children's stains out. i don't know what it is about drying it in, but it works wonders.

also, dish detergent rubbed in works on stains.

there's that green tire cleaner stuff. i cannot remember the name of it right now.

peroxide lifts blood.

and when everything else fails... hang it up on the line for a couple days. the sun works wonders.

I used to use Shout and then switched to a homemade solution. You can mix equal parts Wisk, ammonia and water into a spray bottle. Use it just like any other stain remover and be sure to use it in a well-ventilated area. I stopped using this about a month ago when I found the new OxiClean Laundry Stain Remover. I love this stuff and have found nothing that works like it does. I actually just removed an old blood stain from a mattress with it.

use a detergent like all or tide with an oxy boost and rub some in the clothes on the stain let soak 10 -15 min then wash as usual. Youcan also use a product called oxy clean, a scoop of that in your wash along with detergent should help it has no beach in it it it a safe bleach alternative. Link for it www.oxyclean.com

Use a good stain remover, so you don't have to wash them more than once. I also use Tide To Go sample on fresh food and drink stains. That way, I can control the damage. You may as well browse this site http://www.upkb.com/tidetogo.php for cleaning tips and product details.
