yes the hanky code, and color code are still being used....though not as much as they once were

Yes but not at the regular bars. It's more from the leather culture and it was a safety system that allowed others to advertise without drawing the attention of the vice police who would take asking as a proposition and thus be able to shut down the establishment.

Like others have said they are still used some, mainly in leather community...and mainly older guys like me.

I never really did the code thing though. I've always found learning what your partner enjoys is part of the fun of getting to know each other.

Yuck. I hope no one uses them. The down and dirty nitty gritty details of what you enjoy in bed is really not something to advertise or tell the world about. Just your boyfriend/girlfriend/partner or spouse - or whoever you're sleeping with in the event you're single.

the black handkerchief on the left is for heavy S/M top and on the right is heavy S/M bottom; light blue one on the right is for expert co**su**er and on the left wants blow***; and black/white checkered is for safe sex right for bottom and left for top. Am not sure if they are still used.

they are still used by some of the older gays...but I never remember what left side means and right side means...i can remember a lot of the colours however.
