I received a letter from HealthNet stating that I have been approved for: Palivizumab-Rsv-Igm per 50 Mg. Does anyone know what this is? I'd rather not have to call them but I will if I need to. Thanks.

This medication is usually given to children during the months that RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) is in season. This is a serious respiratory tract disease that can be fatal to children. Check out the sites I have noted.

it is a shot used to prevent infection.Palivizumab is usually administered once a month during the RSV season. Your healthcare provider will give you detailed instructions on when the shot will be administered.

It is a medication that treats a respiratory virus in babies and young children. Do NOT use it without the advice of a doctor
