We're about to move again - is it a weird question to ask your real estate agent if someone has died in your house or on your land ? How do you go about asking ? Are there any places/sites that record this that anyone can recommend ?

ask the neighbours

I wouldn't ask the neighbours because they could be the killers, and if they think you are on to them... well, better to be safe than sorry. Next, check the crawl space and the attic, and look for any disturbed soil on the property. Check newspaper archives since the time the house was built. Also, go to the website www.paranoid.com. You have a hunt to do. Better get crackin'!

unless u move into a brand new house then more than likely some1 has died in it, some1 definately has died in that spot sometime or another, whats the big deal , anyway, its probably not haunted, my house is but they don't really bother us, ive just seen figures a time or two.

Ask the neighbor who is there the longest. DUH.

And what difference? Afraid of ghosts?

Most houses have had a death in them.

My father died in our house when I was a kid. My mother died in my brother's house, my grandmother died in her house. My brother dropped dead in his house. I'd rather die in my own house and not in any hospital.

Ask the realtor directly: Has anyone died in this house?

They have to answer the truth as they know it.
