-5,409 cc 5.4 liters 8 V engine with 90.2 mm bore, 105.8 mm stroke, 9.5 compression ratio, double overhead cam and four valves per cylinder

Also is that good?
-Multi-point injection fuel system

-Power: SAE and 224 kW , 300 HP @ 5,000 rpm; 355 ft lb , 481 Nm @ 2,750 rpm
Also what does that mean like what does each thing due and everything?

5409 cubic centimeters and 5.4 liters are the size of the engine displacement

8 v = 8 valves or v8 which is more likely for this size engine is a total of 8 cylinders configured in a V shape (four per leg of the V)

90.2 millimeter bore is the size of the cylinder's circumference (size of the circle)

105.8 mm stroke is how far the piston travels from top dead center to bottom dead center

9.5 compression ratio is how much the air and gas is compressed at the top of the stroke

double over head cams are two cams shafts located at the top of the engine. usually one intake cam and one exhaust cam

four valves per cylinder means that each cylinder has a total of 4 valves. Two intake and two exhaust. More valves means more flow or more volume and go into and out of the cylinder.

multi point fuel injection means that fuel is injected at several places ie each cylinder as opposed to introducing fuel at the throttle body

power is 224 kilowatts (metric system), or 300 hp (American or SAE-standard automotive engineering)
481 newton-meters (metric or 355 foot pounds of torque.

Torque gets you off the line, horse power keeps you going.

You have 300 horsepower when your motor is at 5000 rpm,355 foot/lbs of torque at 2,750 rpm.The engine cylinders volume adds up to 5,409 cubic centimeter's or 5.4 liter's.And the 8 v should be V8,meaning 8 cylinder's in a V,four on each side...The bore of the engine cylinder's is 90.2millimeter's each and the piston's travel 105.8 millimeter's along the bore. When it is ready to fire the sparkplug there is 9.5 pounds per square inch of compressed gas/air in the cylinder. The camshaft is on the top of the head and has two for each head, meaning the exhaust and intake valve's both have their own camshaft.there are four valve's per cylinder, meaning 2 exhaust valve's and 2 intake valve's.
This sounds like a very nice engine,It's sound's exactly like a Ford 5.4 triton engine actually. It should be very efficient and run smooth due to the valvetrain(camshaft and valve's).The multi-point fuel system means that it has a fuel injector for every cylinder and it fire's it only when it needs to and it is computer controlled.

Just a correction to the post above. The 90.2mm or 3.55in bore is the diameter of the bore and not the circumference. The circumference would be 2 X Pi X r or 2 X 22/7 X 1.775in (45.1mm) which is 11.157 in.

Just to provide clarification about the 9.5 compression. This is calculated by taking the volume in the cylinder at TDC and comparing it to the maximum volume at BDC. That means the maximum cylinder volume is 9.5 times as large as the minimum cylinder volume. For Example, if the minimum cylinder volume is 10 cubic inches(TDC) and the maximum total cylinder volume is 95 cubic inches(BDC), that's where you get your 9.5 or 95/10 compression. This is referred to as static compression and changes when using forced air and effective compression becomes important, but that's another story.

First of all these specs sound like they are out of a high performance sports car .. ie nissan skyline or a domestic corvette or something since the cylinders are ina v pattern and there are 8 of them. Multi port Fi means that in each if the two intake valves that there is fuel sprayed by a fuek rail and injectors into each of the 8 cylinders. 300hp is like two pontiac sunfires in power. Bore measures the diameter of each of the 8 cylinders and stroke is the measurement of the cylinders length. DOHC " double overhead cam. which means you have two bumps on the top of the engine that are called cams. Usually cars in this categaory are high reving cvars or sport cars.Is this engine a hemi for chrysler corp?Very fast and powerful car whatever it is.
