It is possible for the positive to show up this quick, but the what made you want to get a pregnancy test that soon? Most people don't worry about it until their first missed period. You had said that the test showed a faint line this may not mean you are pregnant it can also be a sign of an infection. If you got pregnant just a week ago you would not have already the symptoms that pregnancy causes, like vomiting, getting dizzy, feeling weak, always feeling hungry etc. It just doesn't hit that fast. This is why you want to wait until about two weeks after your first missed period. You may need to see a doctor.

Well, I normally would say a positive is a positive, but that is really really early unless you were preggo before that. Just because of how early it is, I would wait to test again in a few days and see if it is still a positive---make sure it isnt an evap line, if the results are a lot darker, than congratulations hehe! The earliest I have heard of a test work is 5 days early
The only thing that would effect a positive pregnancy test is certain fertility drugs.

A very faint line(read in the correct time frame)IS a positive!
Implantation (when the embryo implants to the lining of your uterus) happens, on average, about 7 days past ovulation. It can happen as early as five days past ovulation or as late as twelve days past ovulation.
Early signs of Pregnancy:
Nausea/vomiting
Headache
Food cravings
Heightened sense of smell
Missed period
Backache
Crampy
Extreme fatigue
Tender/swollen breasts
Frequent trips to the bathroom
These signs can appear as soon as implantation or anytime after, each woman is different! Some women have all of these, some have a few and some women don't have any signs.
Good Luck!

You could be. The pregnancy test I took with my youngest son showed just a faint line. But I was indeed VERY pregnant. You should go and see your MD and get a blood test to confirm it. Good luck, God bless, and Congrats!!!!

can be possible i guess, but a faint line will also show up if u look at it too late, so if it was the time frame it gave u and a line showed up then u are pregnant

A pregnancy test from a lab. can detect a day old pregnancy. I am not sure about do-it-yourself tests. You should get it done at a lab. though I don't think you should be getting dizzy so soon.

Usually it takes Atlease 2 weeks. I would wait for a missed period and test again. You should see a doctor though it is not normal to feel dizzy for that long.

yes, it is possible for it to show up that quick. Mine showed up at 3 days. I would suggest you have a blood test no later that 6 days after your expected cycle start date.
