Mexico has its name from Mexica the Aztec language aka Nahuatl. The vast majority are mestizo, which means of indigenous and white ancestry. Chicanos are Americans of Mexican parents, Latinos are of any Latin American country, and Hispanics are the same as Latinos. Mexicans can be Latino or Hispanic.

Mexico name comes from the Aztec city named Mexico-Tenochtitlan. Check this out... a lot of info. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexico

Chicano... to me is a state of mind or having pride in being Mexican-American. some Mexicans-Americans don't like this term but I in-brace it.

Hispanic comes from Hispania. which was given it's named by the Romans to ( Modern day Portugal, Spain, Andorra, Gibraltar.) Spanish Conquerors later named Mexico/Central and South American... New Hispaniola.

Some Mexican/Central and S. Americans refer to themselves of Latinos while others may prefer to be called Hispanics.

Hope this helps.
