No, I do not 'allow' my friends to be rude to each other. I do this by no longer being with the rude person. Life is tooooo short to be snarky.

well, people that are my friends don't have any phobias about gay people, but many acquaintances that i had to deal with one way or the other have had. my old best friend tim really didn't need help from me defending himself from such people, and he never had to defend me against the more militant, or heterosexual phobic if you will, gay acquaintances of his. neither one of us could control what comments some morons made, be they gay or homophobic, so it wasn't really a question of allowing rude comments to be made or not. and we weren't concerned if someone didn't understand the nature of our relationship and the way we bantered or teased each other at times, or what comments they felt compelled to make about it or their interpretation of it.

People are not allowed to be openly homophobic. Even if they are not phobic, they are not allowed to voice an opinion. However, it is perfectly acceptable and preferable by many to be homosexual. Political correctness allows this double-standard.

It is a guy thing to always be putting each other down and doing crap like that. But gay guys might take exception to all of that. In any case.......I have no gay friends.....Thank God!

No. I keep them seperate for the most part. All my friends know if they can't be polite to each other they cannot be around me....it's not much of a problem.
