ive been best friends with a girl since kindergarden. we both have other frends but we hang out with eachother more than anyone. i hang out with more older people and she hangs out with people our age, or a year younger. she has a close frend that is a year younger than us. she is nieve, childish, and isnt ther for my frend when needed. it seems like the only reason she is close with my frend is to gain popularity. and all of her bad habits are starting to rub off on my frend.. my friend is somewhat annoying me and i cant seem to explain to her how she is acting. what should i do? should i just ignore her and just hope she matures into finding a new friend? or should i confront her about it?

Talk to this girl about it. If she gets too involved with people that are making bad choices for her and themselves, she could get into some major trouble. Try to tell her this, and if she values you as a friend, she will listen. Try to get other people's opinion on this BEFORE you talk to her so that you know you aren't the only one that feels like this. If she doesn't listen, you tried your hardest and that is all you can really do.

Honestly, that kind of happened to me and my friend and I just grew apart. So yeah... Confront her about it if you want, explain it the way you explained it here. Talking about your feelings makes you feel better.

i suggest you ignore it. a friend like that will not stand the test of time. you will. right now, your friend likes this person and anything you say will not register. give it time.
