im a boat captian trust me get some cameo from wall mart or most anywhere that sells cleaning supplies mix a little cameo and water to make a paste rub it on with a rag until clean rinse with clean water once shiney again apply two coats of turtle wax u should never have to polish it again only dust it soaking in kool ade works well too but i expect it is too large for that

Bar tenders friend cleanser to get the worst off, then Brasso to polish.

Sounds crazy as hell, but try this: Coat it down EVENLY with ketchup. Let it sit for a few minutes. Then take a toothbrush for all the little nooks and crannies, and brush it under running water.
