Your egg after it bursts in you ovary has 24 hrs to live. The boy sperm is faster than the girl sperm and so if you do it only on the 14th day you can hit the jackpot. Girl sperms swim slower but they outlive the boys. So if you are doing it a few days before your ovulation occurs you are running a higher chance for girls, theoretically. I say theoretically because the girl sperm may not be there at the right time and may be a boy could pull a fast one. :

Whatever it is I wish you good luck and a very healthy and happy pregnancy.

By the way all those people saying the gender is determined by the male have it only half way correct. Yes it is because they carry both male and female sperms, some male have more of the one than the other and female do not carry the sex chromosome on the egg so yes they are right but the discussion here is how to increase the 'chances' of one sex over the other. And yes timing will not guarantee the sex but it sure can increase your chances.

on usual its day 14. yet not each and every female with a 28 day cycle ovulates on day 14. The ovum is only doable for twenty-four-36 hours, so which you're top time to concieve is only sometime. in spite of the reality that sperm lives in the womans reproductive tract for on usual, approximately 2-4 days, so having intercourse on day 13 AND 14, or perhaps early on the fifteenth day, is the premier.

Wait until 14-16 days after you have had your cycle that is usually the time of ovulation. This time is the best time to get ready and do the act. It is usually 2 weeks before you have your next period...
Although you must remember that everyone's cycle can be different. If you have irregular menses than this my be different for you

I was told the best way to conceive a male is to bd the day that you ovulate...and since you are regular, I would say 14 days from the first day of your period , esp if you have ewcm (egg white cervical mucus).... www.mymonthlycycles.com can help you track when you ovulate. They say that male sperm is faster than female sperm, so as long as they don' have to wait a while, then your chances are better.

The old wive's tale is that the closer to the day of ovulation that you have sex that you have a higher chance of conceiving a boy, because the female sperm live longer. If you are wanting a girl you are supposed to have sex 2-3 days before ovulation...but like I said...old wive's tale.

You ovulate around the 14th day, and if you want to have a boy baby then you should have sex on that day. If you want a girl baby then you are supposed to have sex a couple of days before you ovulate. I have 2 sons, both of which I calculated in the same way.

first of all about 8-12 days after is the best time. secondly, gender depends on the sperm not the day of the month.

Gender depends on the male. If u receive an x chromosome, u will have a boy. If u receive a y chromosome u will have a girl. It all depends on what chromosome the sperm has.

The man is the one who carries the gender gene so it doesn't matter when you ovulate it will be a boy if it's meant to be a boy.
