I want to buy a DVD +-R/RW, I actually don't know much about this, but I want to buy one for my pc. Can I buy any kind or brand? or it has to be one specific for my type, model, of computer??

It's sometimes best for you to get the same name as the computer that you have however I believe that you should check out eBay I did bought it cheap and got it installed by pro and it is Worth it and cheaper that way...........................

No, you don't need it as the same brand as your computer, they all have the exact same connection. Here is a good one for a good price, better than what you would pay at Best Buy:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827106013
It comes with a replaceable white panel, in case your case is white instead of black. No need to get a professional, I think Best Buy charges $60 to install one, just find a friend or someone who knows about computers and have them do it, or try it yourself, the instructions are not that hard to follow.
