My husband and I will be celebrating our fifth year wedding anniversary next weekend and for once I've completely given up the control and let him plan everything.
My question is that I have no idea what to get the man who doesn't want anything and everytime I ask him he just says "nothing"
Our relationship had been strained lately but just over the last two weeks things seem to be getting back on track.
I've already bought new lingerie and that part of the evening planned but I'm still stumped on a gift.

here are some suggestions: buy 2 sessions of massage therapy one for u and one for him so u both could go together and enjoy the day together. go to kinkos and take a picture with you with the both of you and ask them to make a puzzle (it is usually ready in a week so you still have enought time), there are also different kind of things you may do at kinkos. you could also ask them to put your pictures on a mouse pad and even make a calendar for 2007 w/ each month u have pictures of one another together. How about buying him a cologne, tie, brand name wallet, or plan a trip. if a trip is too expensive plan a 1-2 day gateway.

Happy Anniversary!
I think it shows a great deal of trust to let him plan everything! Good for you. This way, he'll be sure to like it and he knows what his budget is,etc... The best gift I believe is a MEMORY. It could be silly (sing a karaoke song to him), sappy (make wishes at a fountain but tell each other so you make each others wishes come true),passionate (over dinner tell him you aren't wearing panties)or wild and adventurous(take him skydiving) It could be teaching him something or something you both learn or experience for the first time. Something to make you two grow together. Something that will bond you by the memory.

How about making him some free passes on oh maybe a day free from chores and any expectations and maybe a nice back-rub with dinner on the patio and his favorite desert. You know some time devoted to him that he can pull out and through down and you will honor anytime he uses them. one use only for each card . Bet he would love that, good luck dear have a great anniversary.

You may think this is corny but here is my suggestion since a five year mark is a milestone.
You could renew your vows.
I've heard of couples doing this and they do it so often (before hitting a 10,25, or 50 year mark) just that they are reminded of the committment they made to one another and the true meaning of their marriage.

Gifts are nice to but I think renewing vows makes a marriage last longer.

If you want to go the gift route, you could give him tickets to a sporting event that he enjoys, something relative to a hobby that he may have, another commentor stated coupons that he can use towards things he likes- I agree with that.

Think back to something that he has been talking about for a long time that "interested" him. If you can not think of anything there are 2 other options.
1. Take him to a store that would peak his interests. Watch him closely to anything that he reacts to when he see it. Usually a persons eyes dilate when they see something that they want.
2. Try something new in bed. If all else fails tell him that for one night only he can have his wildest fantasies fulfilled! That ought to peak any mans interests.

Sound like you have the gift he would like. You will probly hear from men what he would like though. Good luck and congrats. Hope you have many more.

Get some body paints. That is always fun and sometimes pretty interesting.
