would you rather have the closeness that the "act" confers or the orgasm itself?

....Oh, my love!

my touch ... a silk scarf.. i will be that silk scarf

its touches will be my touches...

my skin on yours,

my lips on yours,

my hands on yours,

my love in yours,

together in our perfect love

our beautiful rhapsody

our unchained melody

our heart song

our sensuous dance

we don't make love

we become a symphony

our love is

a beautiful poem

a lovers' rhapsody

I love you so much, my heart, my soul mate, my happy love!!!!

~~~ am holding the scarf right now..
don't know what to do with it, my love.. ~~~
"draw it slowly across your mouth, tickling your lips ....
it is my soft kisses"
~~~mmm... yes.. ~~~

"close your eyes and let it slip softly over your eyelids..
it is my butterfly kisses"

"now slowly let it play over your cheeks ...
then across your mouth"

"it is my lips, tenderly brushing your cheek..
finding your mouth again.."
just a feather touch, a whisper of a kiss..
my lips on yours"

~~~ yes.. it is.. ~~~
~~~ it's your lips.. kissing me ~~~
~~~ it's your hand.. touching me ~~~
~~~ it's you.. loving me ~~~

" ..I want every little touch to be a song,
and I want to feel your skin
respond to my every touch,
and be songs to my touch,
every little stirring within
moves me, moves us..
higher and higher..
as our rhapsody unfolds
our symphony begins...

Although they are both important....i think intimacy is far more important. I have a good friend that just became paralyzed and can no longer have sex. The orgasm is gone no but the intimacy will keep his relationship a live. I don't think it would have worked the other way around.

Orgasm without intimacy with a woman is common in paid sex.
Intimacy and orgasm is known as "making love" and is a far more satisfying & pleasurable than the simple orgasm...

Its difficult to separate the two but if it came to a choice I would definitely prefer intimacy without orgasm to an orgasm without intimacy.

Aww! Don't make me choose between them!

Intimacy is nice to have around all day (and night ;) long, but when I want sex, it's all those lovely things leading up to the orgasm, and then the orgasm that I'm seeking -- and then it's back to the intimacy (if that answers your question).

The ultimate orgasm is that which is accompanied by intimacy. Many people are still those who don't hop in to bed with just anyone, and still prefer to have a nice healthy loving relationship with someone they'd choose to have a sexual relationship with.

I would much rather the intimacy.

Even if it was not during the 'act', intimacy is something that you can cherish and hold onto much longer. Orgasm is something that can happen with anyone or anything. It isn't special.

However, there are only a few people that can be intimate with one another in the true sense of the word. You can be intimate with a sexual partner, but that's completely different to true intimacy.

I like the fact that when you have someone you love, you can have those comfortable silences where you don't need to talk to one another, and can just curl up and enjoy each others company. I like the fact that when you are with someone you love, you can curl up in bed with them, as close as you possibly can, yet not feel you have to perform a sexual act. And I like the fact that when you are truely intimate with one another, you can share anything and never feel uncomfortable around the one that you love.

Intimacy because it leads up to the exploding orgasm.

I'd rather have intimacy without orgasms than orgasms without intimacy, so intimacy tops the scale for me. Intimacy makes orgasms so much better. Good sex has intimacy by definition, in my opinion.
